Before you write
What can I listen to for free?
The Wind in the Willows is free forever, with all four launch voices. No account or purchase is required.
What does the collection purchase include?
One optional purchase unlocks the other eleven books and all their launch voices. It is a one-time purchase for this collection, with no subscription. Nod shows Apple’s price for your storefront before you buy.
Can I preview a paid book?
Yes. Each paid book has a short listening preview. Full playback and downloads become available after Apple verifies the collection purchase.
Will Nod work offline?
Yes. The app starts from its built-in catalogue. Included audio and books you finish downloading can play offline; keep Nod open until a download finishes.
How do I restore my purchase?
Open Your evening, find Your collection, then choose Restore purchase. A new device may need an internet connection and the Apple Account used for the original purchase.
What happens when the sleep timer ends?
Nod fades gently when your timer ends, using a nearby natural boundary when one is available. A duration timer stops within ten seconds of its countdown ending. Nod saves the stopping point and resumes up to three minutes earlier next time.
How is listening progress handled?
Progress and listening preferences are saved on your device. The app does not need a listener account to remember your place.
Can I suggest a book?
Please do. Nod focuses on enduring books that suit quiet nighttime listening, subject to edition rights and careful narration review.
